One Day

Sonnet iv

One timeless day, before Your throne
With hands upraised, we’ll praise Your name
Eternal God, Lord, You alone,
Deserve all Glory, Power, and Fame.

Now bound to time, our spirits soar,
We lift our voices high in song;
And with our melody, adore,
While for your presence, Lord, we long.

We let our feeble voices ring,
And with our stumbling words we pray,
We strive to lift an offering,
A worthy prelude, to that day.

We harmonize with Heaven’s song,
The start of praises now, and forever long!

  1. I like it. =)

  2. Hello, fellow Poet and blogger. And Yay for Mock Trial. I enjoy poetry, particularly religious poetry…it makes it seem prayerful. Take care.
